“Ocean Beach” is very special to me. It is a great memory in Santa Monica, California. I use oil paint, varnish and spray paint to build the surfaces. The transparent glazes are built up by sanding down each layer to create a fusion of color. I cut away and scratch at the pictorial surface revealing the layers that have come before and the history of the canvas.
